Toronto annexed the Annex in 1887, which is where the name comes from. Its streets are lined with big brick houses, many in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, with rounded arches and heavy stone trim.

Huron, Madison and Admiral Road are classic Annex streets. Bloor Street West is the main strip for shops and restaurants.
Getting around
St George, Spadina and Bathurst stations all serve the area on Line 2.
